Feel Good Moving
Hi, I'm Lisa.
I teach pilates to people who want to move without pain, who want to get stronger, who are curious about how they move. I teach Pilates to people who enjoy discovering that they enjoy moving, who nerd out a little on the mechanics. I teach Pilates to people who are open to the idea that they will move differently every day, so every day offers a new exploration.
About Me
I have studied movement my whole life- beginning as dancer and graduating from the Baltimore School for the Arts, continuing with Dance and Choreography at Goucher College before pursuing a Psychology degree. I "took a break" from movement studies to launch a career in nonprofit management and a family. After trying out barre, yoga, and other fitness classes, I found a movement practice that felt good in my body in Pilates, and now I'm completing comprehensive certification through Pure Body Teacher Training. I try to bring joy and curiosity to my teaching and practice, and I enjoy helping others find the ways they can feel good moving. When not in the studio, you can find me building databases, drinking coffee somewhere on the Hill, or hanging out with my husband and two daughters.
